Happy Fall Mini Album | Whim So Doodle

Happy fall everyone! Fall is my favorite time of the year! I always look forward to the cooler weather and the change in the color of the leaves. Most important of all, it is the season where we reflect on what we are thankful and grateful for in our lives.

Every year, around the month of October, I usually teach a Halloween mini album class. However, this year, we are going to do something different. With some encouragement from my friend, Dianne (Thanks Dianne!), I decided to do a fall mini album.

Here is a peek inside my "Happy Fall" mini album...

Haunted House Card Tutorial

Happy Wednesday Everyone! Today, I am going to share with you a tutorial on one of the Halloween themed cards, which I designed for Tim Holtz for his Facebook Live event last Friday.

First of all, it was such an honor to have an opportunity to design for Tim Holtz. I can now check it off my bucket list! Checked!

I had so much fun playing with some of the stamps and stencils from Tim's brand new Stampers Anonymous Halloween 2016 collection. The entire collection is amazing!

I designed two cards for Tim. This tutorial is going to be on the haunted house card. We are going to be using Regions Beyond stamp set and Linen stencilI decided to do this tutorial because many people had asked me how I attached the haunted house to the card and how I made the background.

It is going to be a fun tutorial with lots of pictures!

Travel Journal - Trinidad and Tobago

Hello everyone! Today, I am going to share with you a project, which I had designed for the Whim So Doodle store last year. I was told that this project was quite popular. It was displayed at the store for a year!

My husband and I went to Trinidad and Tobago in May of 2015. We spent a total of three weeks between the two islands! I visited Trinidad many times (since my husband grew up there), but this was my first time visiting Tobago. Let me tell you...I have never seen water so blue and clear before in my life!

Here is my travel journal for this trip...

Treasure Thursday

Hello Thursday everyone! My husband and I went to Ft. Lauderdale last weekend to visit some of our friends. Even though I knew it was going to rain throughout the weekend, I was praying for good weather so that we could go to my favorite flea market on Saturday morning.

Treasure Thursday on Friday

Treasure Thursday has been moved to Friday this week because I did a post on my Thailand trip yesterday.

While most people cooked, went to the beach or just simply relaxed at home on Memorial Day, my friend, Debbie and I, woke up at 5:00 a.m. to go to Webster's Flea Market. I expected to see more vendors at the market since it was a holiday. The market was not crowded when we arrived because it was very early, but it started to get busy around 9:00 a.m.

The weather got very hot very early. Debbie and I left the market around 10:00 a.m. We made sure not to leave without buying our favorite caramel popcorn.

Thailand Trip

Here is a snapshot of my trip...

Treasure Thursday

Hello everyone! I went to Webster's flea market with my friend Shelley on Monday morning. It was such a nice day! The weather was in the 40s, which was really cold for Floridians. When I arrived at the flea market, I was pleasantly surprised by the amount of vendors that were there selling. They had closed off their parking lot, where we usually park, to allow more spaces for the vendors. They also opened up the opposite field for more vendors. I knew it was going to be a good treasure hunting day!

AMORE Banner | Whim So Doodle

Happy Wednesday everyone! Here it is...the class that everyone has been asking for!

Come spend the day with me and have fun putting this "AMORE" banner together. This banner is perfect for Valentine's day. We will be using products from Crate Paper - Hello Love collection.

I will show you all the tricks that go into putting the banner together. The best part about my class kits is that I cut all of the papers for you! You will be leaving this class with a completed banner and will have so much fun putting this "AMORE" banner together!

The class is scheduled for Saturday, February 6th, 2016, from 10:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. and the cost for this class is $55.00. If you are interested in signing up, please call Whim So Doodle at (727) 827-4911.

If you cannot make it to the class, do not worry...to-go kits (with colored instructions) are available. Sign up early to secure your spot! See you there!

Happy Creating!

Treasure Thursday

Happy New Year everyone!!! The first Treasure Thursday post of the year 2016 is here!

On New Year's weekend, my dear husband was out of town. What would a girl do when her husband is not in town? She goes treasure hunting, of course! Last Saturday, I went to the Gunn Highway flea market in Odessa, Florida. I rarely visit this flea market as I do not usually do well there. Despite the cool weather, there were not many vendors at the flea market. Nevertheless, I still managed to find some treasures and here they are...
