Treasure Thursday

Happy Thursday everyone! Why do we go grocery shopping? Of course, we go grocery shopping to buy food. However, grocery shopping for me is an opportunity to stop at my favorite thrift stores! I usually stop by a couple thrift stores on my way to the grocery store and make sure to stop by my favorite one on my way home.

These are the treasures I found at the thrift stores...

Treasure Thursday

Happy Thursday everyone! I went back to Webster's flea market on Monday for the second week in a row! This time, I went with my friend, Sheri. It was kind of chilly when we arrived at the market. However, it warmed up very quickly.

Treasure Thursday

Happy Thursday everyone! I have had a very good week because 1. my community had a garage sale last Saturday and 2. my dear husband was kind enough to take me to Webster's flea market on Monday morning. I am so excited to share with you the treasures I acquired this week.

First up, my community had a garage sale on Saturday. If you have been following me here, on Facebook or on Instagram, you probably know that my husband is not into treasure hunting at all. In fact, he does not understand why I buy what I buy or what value I see in each item. That actually works out to my advantage! Since he is not into treasure hunting, I appointed him to be my personal driver. On Saturday, he dropped me off at the beginning of the street and then picked me up at the end. He really did not mind driving and waiting for me. I am truly blessed and lucky!

The community garage sale this year was not as good as previous years. Here are the treasures I found on Saturday...

Treasure Thursday

Hello everyone! Wow! It has been two weeks since my last Treasure Thursday post. Since I was extremely busy last month with my classes and projects for October Afternoon, I did not have time to go treasure hunting until last Thursday. As I was driving to go to lunch with my friend, Kelly, I spotted an "Estate Sale" sign. I immediately (and safely) turned around and followed the signs until I arrived at the house. As I was entering the house, there was a big table with bins of jewelry on it. I did not stop at the jewelry table because I am not a big fan of jewelry. As I was walking toward the inside of the house, I spotted a large shelf with a "$0.25" sign. I went through the bins on the shelf, but did not find anything. At that point, I thought this was one of those "hit or MISS" kind of days. As I was about to leave, I went into one of the bedrooms and found these Christmas treasures!

October Afternoon | Christmas Mini Album

Happy Friday everyone! My last project as a designer of the month for October Afternoon is up on their blog today. It has been such an honor designing for October Afternoon.

I have definitely saved the best project for last! It is going to be this cute Christmas mini album (measured 5” x 7.5”), using products from the Under the Tree collection.

The inspiration for this mini album came from my first week’s project, which was the Christmas shaker card project

Please hop over to the October Afternoon blog to see more pictures of my mini album. I hope you will enjoy looking through the pictures.

Treasure Thursday

Happy Thursday everyone! Between designing for my classes and October Afternoon, I have not had an opportunity to go treasure hunting in over three weeks. After waking up on Sunday morning, I had an urge to go treasure hunting. I decided to go to the Airport Farmers and Flea Market in Brooksville since it was only half an hour away from my house.

If you have been following me on Instagram and Facebook, I had posted a picture of this booth. The owner's name is Mr. Kimball (that's actually his first name), who definitely has an eye for treasures!

October Afternoon | Christmas Banner

Happy Friday everyone! My second project as a designer of the month for October Afternoon is up on their blog today. I have designed a cute Christmas banner for this week.

In addition to making cards and mini books, I also love making banners. Christmas decorating would not be complete without a cute banner hanging somewhere in my house. It just makes me happy every time I look at it.

Please hop over to the October Afternoon's blog to see more pictures and instructions.

My Favorite Scrapbook Collection

What is your favorite scrapbook collection of all time? Mine is the Maggie Holmes, Open Book collection. I love the colors, the icons, the flowers...I love everything about this collection.

I had an opportunity to design a clipboard mini book for Whim So Doodle using this collection. I was so happy when I finally spread the entire collection out on my craft table. I hope you will enjoy looking at the pictures of my clipboard mini book. Grab some snacks and a drink because it is going to be a long post!

Treasure Thursday

Hi there! Happy Thursday everyone! If you have been following me on Facebook or Instagram, you probably saw where I was last Saturday. I was at one of my favorite thrift stores! My husband and I did not plan on going there last Saturday. We just "happened" to drive by the store (my husband did not know that I actually planned it). I was so glad we stopped because there was a BIG sale in the store last Saturday...fifty percent discount store wide!!!

Here are some of the treasures I bought on Saturday...

Treasure Thursday

Hello there! Happy Thursday everyone! I received so many positive feedback from my Treasure Thursday post last week. Thank you so much for loving it!

Today, I would like to say to all my friends that I am so blessed and fortunate to be surrounded by your love and support. You know who you all are...I love you and I appreciate your friendship!

This week, I did not have to go to any thrift stores or flea markets to find treasures. The treasures actually found me!

First up, My dear friend, Terry, surprised me with these vintage treasures! I would like to describe Terry as kind, funny and selfless. I always tell her that she is a much better human being than I am. You will be lucky to have a friend in your life like Terry.

Treasure Thursday

Hello there! It is no secret that I love going to thrift stores and flea markets. It has been raining here in Florida, which prevented me from going treasure hunting for a couple of weeks.

It was sunny and bright when I woke up on Tuesday morning. As a result, I was determined to get my thrift store fix! I am so lucky to have at least 5 thrift stores within 15 miles of my house. Good thing I went shopping on Tuesday because I got so many treasures. Here they are...

PARTY Banner

Hello! It has been a week since my last post. Lightning struck a couple houses on our street on Monday morning. As a result, we had no phone, TV and Internet service for the past three days! This event made me realize how dependent we are on technology.

Without the phone, TV and Internet, I got to spend a lot of quality time with my husband. We had some meaningful conversations during the past three days. We actually took our time and enjoyed our dinner because there was no rush to surf the web or watch TV. Even though we always enjoy each other's company, my husband is super happy to get his Internet and TV back!

Today, I would like to share with you my PARTY banner project, which I designed for Whim So Doodle. This banner is perfect for your next Birthday party! I used products from the Dear Lizzy - Fine & Dandy collection. I love the fun images and the bright & cheerful colors of this collection. Doesn't it just make you smile?

Inspiration Wednesday

Today, I would like to show you a little peek into my craft room. I get asked all the time where I get my inspiration from. I get my inspiration through reading blogs, magazines and, of course, Pinterest! Most important of all, I get inspired from my inspiration board in my craft room.

Welcome to My New Blog!

Welcome to my new blog! I have been thinking about creating my own blog for quite some time. It took me this long because I was not sure whether people would be interested in reading my blog. Until last week, VERY exciting things started to happen in my life! I will reveal those exciting things to you very soon. Please stay tuned!

I love papers, stamps and stickers. I love making pretty things. More importantly, I love everything vintage! My signature style has to be the ability to incorporate real vintage object findings with my work. I like to layer different products and embellishments on my projects while maintaining a clean and organized look. If you don't see me in my craft room, you will probably find me at a flea market!

This is my happy place to share my projects and my (he)art stories. I hope you find some inspiration from my blog and make some pretty things. Thank you very much for stopping by! I hope you come back often!

Happy Creating!
